How to create discount coupons?

In which countries is this feature available?
This feature is available in 🌏 all countries .

With Fotop you can create discount coupons for your customers to use to purchase photos of your events. Learn how it works in this article.

When can I create a discount coupon?
You can create discount coupons for all events where you are the event owner (creator) on the platform. You can have coupons that work for all your events and also coupons only for specific events. You will not be able to create coupons for events that you are participating in only as a photographer.

How does a coupon discount work?
You can define the discount percentage that will be applied when using the coupon. Your coupons can be for a maximum of 50% off. You will not be able to create coupons with a "fixed" value, that is, a coupon that directly applies a pre-determined cash discount, for example, a coupon worth R$10.00.

Does creating coupons cost me anything?
No, creating coupons does not generate any cost for you, and the discount is applied to the total value of the photo, the remaining value will follow the percentages you distributed when creating the event.

Step by step guide to creating discount coupons on the photographer's dashboard
1) You can access the coupon creation page in two ways: through the "Events" menu, in "My events" and accessing the event menu (which you are the owner of) and for which you want to create the coupon, or, through the "Settings" menu and then the "Coupons" submenu.

2) Inside the coupons page, you will see the following view:

On this page, you can view your previously created coupons and also create new ones.

3) To create a new coupon, click on the orange button "+ Create new coupon", as shown in the image above.

4) On this page, you will need to add all your coupon settings:
  1. Define the discount percentage of your coupon (the coupon can have a discount of 1 to 50%);
  2. Define which event your coupon will be valid for (you can choose between a specific event or for the coupon to be valid for all your events);
Set the number of times your coupon can be used. You can choose between single use, multiple uses (setting a usage limit), or unlimited;
  • Set the coupon "series". A word of up to 4 letters that will precede the coupon code. This is also the series that you will use to search for the coupon to delete it, if necessary;
  • Set a minimum purchase amount for the coupon to be used. This setting is not mandatory and if you do not want there to be a minimum amount, leave this field blank;
  • Set an expiration date for your coupon. After the set date, the coupon cannot be used. If you do not want your coupon to have an expiration date, simply select the "no" option.
  • At the end of the process, confirm the information and finish.

  • 5) To track your coupons, click on the three dots next to the desired coupon and then on "Coupon Details", as shown in the image below:

    You will see the following page:

    On this page you will see all the settings you have applied to your coupon, and you will also be able to find out if the coupons have been used and how many times.

    You can also download (CSV) or copy all of your coupons, and you can deactivate them if you wish. You will not be able to make any changes to the settings applied to the coupon. If you have made a mistake, you will need to deactivate the coupon and create a new one.
